Project Description
This web design was a redesign of an existing portfolio website for New York hair stylist Michael Paul Dionysiou. The purpose was to create a bright visual modern full-screen experience that was also mobile compatible. It was to be a sleek and functional portfolio website that would better showcase and reflect the talent of this New York hair-stylist.

Redesign Challenge
The existing website looked dated and was too dark. The old site also had some design issues with layout, and it was also not mobile compatible.
OLD DESIGN

OLD DESIGN
Home Page Design
We decided that we would present the recent work on the home page as most of the visitors would be there to view his work with the aim to hire him. Michael asked that each photo on the recent work area could represent each project, so more pictures would be revealed on each click of each photo.

Mobile Ready
Along with Michael wanting to update his website to a lighter, more modern look, it was also essential that the site was mobile friendly.
The mobile version was tweaked slightly to improve the viewing performance.

The Blog
He also expressed the desire that he would like to write in-depth about the events he was involved with. So we incorporated a blog called “Hair & Glamour,” this would allow him to have a deeper connection with his audience. We included a services page, an about page and a contact page.

The Result
The final product showcased the incredible talent of this hairstylist that would be easy to update, modern and mobile compatible.
